ALL ABOUT KIDZ CITY
This indoor playground was opened in 2015, and is operated by the same company that runs several big indoor playgrounds in Metro Manila, including the huge Cosmic Kidz at Mall of Asia. It has two floors of play area. The equipment is well padded and maintained, and seems to share a theme of transport vehicles, and not just climbing structures, making the place a little more unique and interesting. It is suitable for kids at or above 3 years old, and maybe some kids up to 10 years old still find it fun.

OUR OWN EXPERIENCE
It was 5am when we started our travel from Pangasinan to Manila. Along the way, I was online searching for indoor playground near BGC since it is our fave tambayan. We’ve already been to Kidzoona (an indoor playground too), so I’m looking for another place to play with Veon (#mommode).
Then tada! #millinealmom
Shown above, obviously it’s sold out but try to sign up for waiting list to be notified (just click the image above). Metrodeal has been my go-to online shop for services shopping like restaurants, spa and salon, and even tourist attractions.
I got the unlimited play for only P199 instead of P480; perks of being a techy mom =) So paid on same day and time, I got the voucher then I just printed it out.
MOM TIP: Buy ahead of time if you are not in a hurry and print it at home or where there’s a cheap printing shop because as far as I can remember, I paid 20 pesos just for 1-page-colored-print! Sorry, #tipidmom.
Here’s our Playtime!
KIDZOOONA vs KIDZ CITY
Just like in Kidzooona, you have to take off your shoes as you go inside but you’ll go through picture taking (child and adult). Unlike in Kidzoona, you’ll just sign a waiver, which I think in Kidz City is better because there is really a face recognition and safer.
Also, they have 2 levels in Kidz City; 1st floor is for small and big toys and 2nd floor is for pretend plays. Unlike in Kidzoona, it is just a huge 1-floor playground but I like that because it is more spacious.
The good thing is that they both offer party reservations which is the new trend in cities. Old style birthday parties be like at home or restaurants, but now they focus more on play. At least, it is more fun but pricey!
They also offer these workshops.
Our children’s birthdays will always be a major event for us parents. The planning and preparation takes a lot of time and effort so you really need a helping hand as the manager on these kind of milestones, you know? “mommy duties-hashtag multitaskers”. And if you are a mother like me whose husband is away and with no nanny, then it is going to be a challenging one. “Happy stress”, it is what I call so here is a simple checklist to help you get through birthday party planning even though you are by yourself.
- BIRTHDAY THEME AND VENUE. Of course, it all should start with a vision of how your child’s party will look like and everything follows. Looking for a place as one-stop-shop where the venue and food is already there is a big help. PLAN AHEAD! Two months is an average and reserve as early as you can. Since my husband is not with me to prepare for the whole thing, we just decided to book a party in Jollibee (indoor/in store). Just like when my son had his first birthday with Jollibee (outdoor-home), I wanted to have another character combined. That was Jolly-town theme and Disney Cars BUT, now it is NOT ALLOWED anymore.
I was really sad because I wanted something unique and Jollibee’s themes are so generic. They said I can only choose from their themes and they are no longer entertaining any other character combined with Jollibee.
The theme that I chose was FUN-tastic Factory and I just combined it with RED-WHITE-BLACK CHECKERED color.
***IMPORTANT reminders that I guess you should know when you want to book a party in Jollibee.
- You can book via Jollibee’s website but I highly recommend you book party straight to their stores because one store and different from the other and it’s better to discuss your whole plan in personal. Also, you have a form to fill up, like a contract or what they call “Party Booking Form”.
- They require downpayment of at least Php 3000 for reservation.
- You can settle the total payment after the party but you can also fully pay the initial total.
- Appearance of 1 mascot is already included in the fixed party fee which I paid for Php 1850 (may differ from their website or other branch).
- Php 500 is charged for every 30 minutes extension after the 2-hour party.
- You can bring cake from outside which I did but it will not be distributed during the party. In short, for display only.
- You can bring your own lootbag or giveaway but again, in generic form and no well-known character.
The important things to consider in choosing a place is somewhere near your house or just within your town so whenever there’s an emergency, it will be easy access. And also, make sure that it is also accessible for guests to come. Unless you prefer a bigger party with a bigger venue that would require a farther location, then make sure EVERYTHING IS WELL PLANNED AND PREPARED. Best, hire a party planner which needs extra extra penny. But if you are just in an average budget, then just be ORGANIZE.
- BIRTHDAY PICTORIAL. Start with a good outfit because this will serve as your invitation photo. And also, this will be a hardcopy of his memory growing up.
Going for a photoshoot? Just drop by @smkidsfashion for your all-in-one little model style needs. #EverythingsHereAtSM #SMKidsMonth @supermoms_official @smsupermalls Check on my blog how it looks on my tod @teamvaleriojr (Link in bio😉) #sm #SMKids #kidsfashion #ootd #kidsootd #denim #SMKidsDenimCraze #clozette #kidsfashionistamodel #ootdmagazine
And of course, don’t forget a reliable and good photographer. Nowadays, it’s not that hard to find a nice photo studio but make sure it fits your budget – affordable yet gives you stunning pictures.
We had his pictorial at Pose and Play in Tarlac City. They kinda expensive (php 500 + is already expensive to me, hehe) but you get what you pay for.
- PARTY FOOD. The main event, haha. Be honest, c’mon. LOL. If you’ll have a party at home, it takes a lot of effort and human resources just like what we did with his first birthday. We purchased Jollibee foods for the kids and “lutong bahay” dishes for the adults – really exhausting. With in-store parties, you can just choose mainly from their food packages like in Jollibe but you can make your own food combination as well. Easy peasy, like pinpointing what you want to eat and they’ll do the rest.
- PARTY FAVOR. The flavor of the show. The decorations, balloons, host, entertainer, prizes, games and giveaways; they should really have to make your party happy and alive. With Veon’s second birthday, I just made an effort to his giveaway and again, the rest is in Jollibee’s.
- BIRTHDAY CAKE. This is the “spotlight” together with the birthday celebrant because of the candle blowing. Of course, it should really go with the theme. We requested for a customized cake from Jelexie and this is what it looks like.
It’s simple but at least it’s unique and it goes with the checkered thing.
- GIVEAWAYS.Part of party favors but should leave a memory to visitors. Some prefer them to be displayed like figurines but what I like is something that is useful like tumblers on his first and mason jars on his second.
- BIRTHDAY OUTFIT. Your kid should stand out! So put on that best OOTD he could wear. But actually, today’s trend is not just about the celebrant’s but the #twinning of parents and children – #millineals!
My son is at his hyper active stage which is toddler age. This is when he discovers and explores new objects and people, and develops greater independence. It is good to expose him to environment that promotes learning and positive behavior because he learns through imitation.
He can already recognize objects from vegetables to fruits, shapes and colors and many more. He can also recite names of the people around him; form simple sentences; even follow simple instructions and directions.
As parents, we must develop and enhance these skills. So I want him to enjoy his toddlerhood, letting him play until he drops but at the same time equipping him the knowledge that he will need not just in school but in his entire life.
Kidzooona is a Japanese-owned indoor playground by AEON Fantasy Group. They have 800 outlets in Asia in which 28 of it is in the Philippines. It is an educational and entertaining place where you can spend a quality time with your family. Kids from 1 to 10 years old can have fun and enjoy a wide variety of small to huge toys.
Their first branch opened in November 2014 in Robinsons Galleria mall in Ortigas, Quezon City while their branch in Uptown Mall BGC opened June 12, 2016. The entrance fee is Php 300 for 90 minutes which we availed and Php 4000 for 3 hours. For every child, a parent or guardian is free but an extra fee of Php 150 will be charge for an additional adult.
OUR OWN EXPERIENCE:
Since we don’t know the way going to BGC, we used Google Map to find the place. The travel time from Tarlac City to Manila is 4 hours. Include the traffic, we departed 5am and arrived at around 9:30 am. We still had 30 minutes before mall opens so what we did is to go up and eat snack in Chowking. The view on the topmost part of Uptown Mall will show you the beauty of Urban Life. They have mini Chapel there which I like the most.
Heading back to Kidzooona at 10am, we were unlucky to go back at 1:30pm since there will be a birthday party to be held (they accept group packages). I did not saw the announcement on their Facebook page before or on May 7 (our play date). Upon checking, they posted it May 8 but the event is May 7 which is very disappointing. Always post announcements ahead of time, don’t they know that? So that customers would know what to expect and to manage their time.
Anyways, we just proceed to our other agendas. Going back at 2pm, I filled up a form, put our stuffs on the locker provided and started the play time!
- Wearing socks is required (both child and adult). If you don’t have one, each pair of socks costs Php 30.
- A locker is provided for each child. Put your shoes or other things inside (don’t bring too many things). But if your other stuffs don’t fit, then you can put them at the top of the locker. Make sure you bring with you your personal belongings like mobile phones and money.
- Bring water so that your child can drink it after he plays to refresh his body and replenish energy loss. Always let him drink water first and if he insists other beverage like soda or juice, let him drink it after water. Water is still the best thirst quencher. Or for preschoolers, Gatorade is also good.
- Also bring extra clothes from towel, shirt, and short to socks. You will expect sweat and also unexpected dirt encounter (although the place is really clean). Always bring extra for everything.
- SAFETY FIRST. Although the place is child-friendly, you still have to be vigilant and alert. Always keep an eye on your child. Play with your child like his age. It brings children and parents closer.

Mothers are the best photographers, I mean, best in keeping memories through photographs. But either way, we are multitaskers. And as master shoppers too, we find the cheapest deals in town. This means buying stuffs with quality over quantity promos and discounts.
With my son’s first birthday party photos, I just want to keep things organized, not spending too much but not sacrificing the quality. What I did to have that was I paid a professional photographer to take the photos but gave me the soft copies then I take it from there. Paying the hard copies with the photographer would took me more money so seeing Photobook and Metrodeal before the party was a blessing; a deal of Php 20 ONLY instead of Php 1200. Well, it pretty much turned well. Here’s how.
HOW TO SHOP AT METRODEAL?
Step 1. Go to Metrodeal website and search this deal.
Step 2. Then, hit the “BUY NOW” button. Make an account or just log in if you already have.
Step 3. Place your order and choose your payment method.
Step 4. Check out and take note your voucher code (very important). Download your voucher because all details are there. Print if necessary.
NEXT, HOW TO SHOP AT PHOTOBOOK PHILIPPINES?
Step 1. The link to activate your voucher code is in your Voucher Receipt from Metrodeal. Make an account and just follow the instructions.
Step 2. Hit the “make a book now” on the homepage. Make sure that what you bought matches what you are going to make or else you will pay the regular price.
you can choose among the three: 1. Design offline;2. start from blank pages; and 3. ready-made templates (easiest).
Step 3. Choose your design.
STEP 4. Then start designing! This is how it looks. ready-made templates saves time, you just upload your photos on the left side and incoporate them on the album.
if you want to add or change the design per page, you can do that by using the tools on the top.
I finished the photo album for 2 nights. Good advice to take is that put all the photos on a folder and number it according to its sequence for easy uploading and designing.
If you can’t finish it in a day or two, you can just leave it. Just make sure you save what you’ve done and don’t forget to accomplish it before your voucher expires.
Step 5. Once done, hit the “order” button on the upper right corner to check out.
STEP 6. MAke sure you double check your address because it will come all the way from malaysia. Shipping rates will depend on what project you bought.
step 7. apply your voucher code on payment step. make sure you entered it correctly. You can see your activate voucher codes on your account (click My account – upper right > my voucher)
Step 8. confirm order then wait for a receipt with the shipping details on your e-mail. Mine took 7 days and here it is.
I love it. It’s simple, organized and magazine-like. High quality with a very affordable price.

Independence is one of the things I always wanted to teach my child even at early age and a good skill to start with is feeding on his own.
Babies establishing trust (Erikson’s Psychosocial Theory) to us as their parents is the first step. This is by satisfying their basic needs in their infant years (0 -12 months) which is feeding them as the top physiological need (Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs) and other things that they needed for survival. Once they learned that they can be safe with us, listening to our simple commands can be easier thus teaching occurs.
Since toddlers are still in Oral Stage (Freud’s Psychosexual Development), their primary source of interaction is through their mouth which we have to take advantage on. So teaching them through visual and repetitive manner is the best way for them to learn. Eating with them or showing them how to eat using utensils lets them imitate (Bandura’s Observational Learning Theory) what they see.
Children are observant in nature. When they act what they see and you reward them (Skinner’s Operant Conditioning), they’ll repeat the action because they know that they are doing a good deed. So whenever they start holding finger foods and feed themselves, appreciate them by saying a simple “Good job baby” with a smiling face.
When to expect my baby to feed himself?
Here are the 4 most important skills your baby needs to develop to prepare him for feeding independence:
Hand – Eye Coordination
It all starts with our babies’ palmar grasp or grasp reflex (0-2 months) wherein, when we put our finger to their palm, they automatically hold it. Then on the next month of their life, they try to reach out for that cute mobile you hang (about 9-12 inches from their face) in the crib . This is when they develop their visual motor skill; they touch or hold what they see.
On their fourth month, they’ll love putting whatever is in their hand to their mouth. So in this stage,we should be alert to prevent choking.
Gross motor (Sit Up Independently)
This are large movements that involves the use of the big parts of the body like arms and feet. At about 18 months, sitting upright steadily is the most important skill he needs to develop. Also, other gross motor skills like reaching out, controlling body movements to be able to reach out for food will be prominent.
Fine Motor (Pincer grasp)
After the introduction of solid foods at 6 months, our baby starts to hold things using their thumb and index finger that is known as the pincer grasp. Smaller actions using fingers or even tasting and touching (fine motor skills) are being develop between 8-12 months thus finger foods could be prepared for them.
MY CHILD’S MILESTONE
- 2 months – Hand-eye coordination
- 3 months – Hand-mouth coordination
- 6 months -Introduction of solid food
- 8 months – Sit on his own
- 10 months – Pincer grasp (finger foods)
- 11 months – Started holding spoon then eventually fork but still lack of control
- 18 months – Can eat independently either by hand or by spoon (but STILL MESSY!)
- 20 months – Plus fork! (Slightly messy) And also, can drink on his own but using plastic wares.
- 24 months – FULL CONTROL IN EATING AND DRINKING
STAGES (Based on experience and observation)
Don’t get frustated if your child can’t follow the numbers. Every child is unique, just patiently teach them. Remember that consistency is the key. We all go through process and you can also refer to these stages even without the numbers.
Stage 0: Smash Cake
Have you ever watched Funny Baby Videos on Youtube? Some clips are babies ruining cute little cakes with mess all over their face; that’s the “Smash Cake” trend. It is an American tradition which is being adopted by few Filipino families like we did.
When my son turned 1 year old, we did this but not all the visitors appreciated the moment since not everyone is familiar. But for me and my husband, this is his first taste of sweet and also, a “go” signal for him to explore food for independence.
Stage 1: High Chair
It is important for them to learn how to sit upright by using high chair. Also, a good preparation for potty training since sitting is our position for feeding and pooping.
This stage is still an exploration. Start giving them finger foods. Let them know different textures like smooth for bread or rough for puffs. Give them time to improve their fine motor skills also by starting to let them hold spoon and fork (use plastic and with heat indicator). Use the simple command of “scoop-am” (am in Filipino baby talk means eat).
EXPECT A MESSY TABLE! Make sure that every utensil and surface is clean. Disinfect their table every after feeding, sterilize the spoon and fork and pick up every bit of food they drop. Train them about cleanliness little by little starting from their plate. This is by putting all the food in the center of their plate.
Make sure that you show them how to do it then let them do it. Always say VERY GOOD when they did it and SMILE. They’ll love doing the action over and over again until they can do it on their own!
Stage 2: Own Chair
Once you observed that they can sit on their own, buy them their own chair. This is the stage to hone gross motors skills with their arms, legs, torso and feet. Let them get their own chair when it is time to eat and make the level of an adult chair their table (or their own small table).
This is a preparation for them to climb starting from floor level to an adult chair. They can use their small chair to climb in an adult’s chair. In this stage, make sure to polish their fine motor skills; holding and using the spoon and fork well and less mess.
Stage 3: Family Table
FINALLY, a table for two! If your tod is good enough to climb and sit on an adult’s chair, then this is the best thing in self-feeding because you can eat together and share moments together.
Always EAT BESIDE or WITH YOUR KID because they gives them the feeling of security and love. Do not forget to say, JOB WELL DONE! Happy eating ^_^
Facebook is being flooded with 7 consecutive days of posting photos of husbands and wives as part of #loveyourspousechallenge. But did you know how it all started? The challenge was started by Trey Morgan, a Christian husband and a marriage/relationsip writer at treymorgan.net who wrote about how he was motivated to do household chores he never done by just simply being praised by his wife.
His story inspired his friend to praise her husband publicly using facebook for 25 days but then Trey made it a challenge and narrowed it to 7 with this…
“So you up for the challenge? I think it will be cool to see dozens of Facebook status updates that are praising their spouses.
Help me spread the word about the 7 Day Facebook Marriage Challenge. If you accept the challenge, link this post on Facebook and say, “I accept the challenge.”
And it was way back July 2011! So it’s like… it has been 5 years ago that this challenge is circulating all over the social media.
To keep the chain of this challenge rolling, I was challenge by Miss Dee, the Executive Producer of ABS-CBN Baguio whom I worked for when I became a guest host in MagTV Na Atin ‘Toh, to do the same as couples post in their facebooks. So Today is my #loveyourspousechallengeday1. And rather than just giving sweet nothings to my husband, I made it a unique one on reminiscing our love story on how we became partners in life and to inspire other couples with our story in its simplest form.
Please stick with me as I share my “ONCE UPON A TIME…”
Day 1 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“You fall in love with a person you never expected to even meet”
Every husband and wife has their own stories of once a upon a time. And they say that soulmates are meant to cross paths when the right time comes. We studied on same school, same course but in my almost 4 years in the university, going to and from same buildings, we never ever met until God’s perfect time.
This was our first photo together. It draws a curve to my face whenever I reminish how we started as partners-in-crime. Because our crime is to win as Mr and Ms SLU 2013 thus we became partners. ^_^
Day 2 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“Courtship, signs, challenges and God’s voice of telling you…HE IS THE ONE”
I am not his type of woman and same was I. We don’t even have a crush to each other. So funny to think about that. But when you get to know a person more than what you just see, then that’s how God speaks to you privately and says you are already facing THE ONE I made for you.
Every girl has a list of signs and challenges to give a guy to prove his worth. (Guilty!) Craziest was he sang in front of madlang people and presented me to her mom even we were just in courtship stage.[Girl, that means a guy is serious]
Day 3 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“Love a person because… you just love him.”
True love is not defined by reasons but you just merely love that person. What if you love him because he is handsome or rich, and then one day, it all fade away. I just love him for who he is, who he was and who he will become with me.
(Top) This photo was taken the day we became officially IN A RELATIONSHIP status [the first time I said I love you too]. (Bottom) It was corny to say that I also said YES in front of our parents! That is weird and old-school.
Day 4 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“I do!~ Marriage is still part of how you seal your love to a person.”
We are not perfect but who is right? That much love we had gave us a blessing but it is not the main reason why we marry. We always talk about houses, kids, places to travel, work and budget even before Veon came to our lives. And we are always ready and excited to become [from partners in crime to] partners in life as MR and MRS VALERIO.
MARRIAGE is not just a piece of paper for others who doesn’t believe in it, but if you really love a person, SEAL YOUR LOVE IN ALL POSSIBLE WAYS. Isn’t it nice to shout silently that you are being loved by a dignified man by just showing your ring?
Day 5 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“Being a parent is the hardest job but it is rewarding”
As nurses, we are already thought on this but to be a real parent is somehow different on what you read in books. There are things you only learn through experience and the best weapon to fight the battle of being a parent is PATIENCE.
To our little angel whom God really heard my spouse’s prayer of “bouncing big baby boy”, you will always keep the knot tied and the token of our unconditional love. You represent this challenge as a WE WON the challenge! horaah.
Day 6 Love Your Spouse Challenge
“Similarities and differences keep the fire burning”
Jealousy and fights? Been there. Play and tease? Done that. Our mutual understanding on food and travel keeps us together and our individualism on cars and fashion keeps us learning from each other.
Take advantage on things you enjoy and fill the gaps from gaining knowledge to things you differ.
Day 7 Love Your Spouse Challenge
First.. Second… wedding anniversaries..and counting. We still have a lot of dreams and we are just starting. We always PRAY THAT GOD WILL GUIDE AND PROTECT OUR MARRIAGE AND BE OUR MAIN SOURCE OF STRENGTH and may He bless us more and our family.
For now, we may be apart but MY LOVE FOR MY HUSBAND WILL NEVER CHANGE. I LOVE YOU DA AND I’LL ALWAYS WILL.
CHALLENGE ACCOMPLISHED AND HOPING THAT IT WILL CONTINUE FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD.
LOVE, RESPECT, AND KEEP THE FIRE BURNING. MAKE GOD AS THE CENTER OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP. HAPPY #loveyourspousechallenge! SPREAD THE LOVE AND SANCTITY OF MARRIAGE.
Wave to all the moms out there whose kids loves Jollibee!
Before the month of May ends, I just want to share my experience during the Jollibee Mini Managers Convention last May 28, Saturday at SM City Tarlac.
3 days before the event, one of the crews in Jollibee Camiling Branch approached me while we (with Veon~my tod^_^) were having our lunch and offered me to buy a ticket for the aforementioned event. It was effortless for her making sales talk to me because I just bought it right away for my kiddo.
What I expected in the event was that it would be like a workshop with tables surrounded and the center stage or hosts are at the center but when we got there by 10:30am (event started at 9am) it was this…
A research about and before an event is one of the realizations I could remind myself because the night before it, I was really tired, slept and just took it for granted. It was really crowded. It was just me and my tod so the situation definitely challenged me. And c’mon Tala, it’s a convention.
I strongly advise that if you are going to a crowded event, best not to bring kids at least under 2 years old and if you really like to attend, bring someone with you to accompany you. Stay away from the crowd or find a place that you can still breathe and move. This is very important.
Anyway, going back to our arrival and after registering, we were given a meal composed of 2 for mom and child~1 piece chicken with rice and 1 piece burger patty with rice and 2 zesto tetra pack juices (maybe they ran out of soda) as a complimentary food of the ticket I bought for Php250. Not bad.
After getting the meal , we went down into the Activity Center just below the ground floor and we sitted at the middle of the whole people. It was almost lunch time and we were already hungry from our 45-minute travel from Camiling to Tarlac City excluding the waiting time in the terminal. Wooh!
Thanks to my long time friend since elementary; Joyce, for being with us even just during the back and forth travel time.
Veon drank his juice and while eating his meal, he vomited! I was like… MOM IN A FLASH! I was just disappointed that of all the people there, even just the crews who are just standing beside us, did not dared to help. And what they did was offer me to buy the Mini Manager’s uniform for 400 pesos. I don’t know what to feel. Just really disappointed of their attitude.
But I’m proud that I’ve handled that “unexpected event” all by myself and still let my child experience the best of the event could offer.
Aside from that dance performance of the Jollitown characters composed of Jollibee, Popo, Yum, Twirlie and Hetty, there were also performances from Jollibee Kiddie Club members like singing and dancing. Followed by raffle draws with limited edition Jollibee novelty item as prizes.
All I did was just eating… and watching… like in cinema, haha! Yes. That is it. But Veon enjoyed the music while dancing…
and seeing Jollibee…
Twirlie and Yum
And would not forgot his ferocious act on getting the balloons!
After the event, we went to the Food Court to enjoy the other meal and the rest of the day. It was a good feeling that even though I don’t like the event, Veon was happy and that already…made me happy too. I still love Jollibee but not what “happened” on that day.
A picture with Jollibee again for remembrance.
The convention was like a culminating event for the 6-day Jolibee Mini Manager’s Camp. Unfortunately, the camp was just for 4-7 years old (my son was 1 year old) and exclusive for Jolly Kiddie Club. Join Jollibee Mini Manager’s Camp 2017, click here.
As parents, we are always proud to share our baby’s firsts. When my son was 5 months and 3 weeks (1 week to go for 6 months), we decided to start feeding him rice cereal as a beginner and that is his first time to eat solid food.
These are the materials I bought to prepare him for this milestone.
Precious moments 2 handle non-spill cup (P130.00)
This is a weaning cup that he can use to learn how to hold his bottle and at the same time, for cup introduction. The nice feature of this product is that the liquid will not come out unless thebaby will suck which best describe its “non spill ” feature. Because your baby still have his sucking reflex at this age, the bottle allows the baby to drink the liquid by sucking. So its a good bottle to wean your baby from baby bottle to cup.
Baby Kitty & Baby Daniel Feeding Bowl with Spoon (P99.75)
Since I love hello kitty, I choose this one as baby boy (Baby Daniel) version of hello kitty. The bowl comes with lid cover and a spoon. So he can use it for future purposes like food container.
Disney Heat Sensitive Sensitive (P99.75)
This is the advisable spoon for solid food beginners. This spoon signifies if the food is too hot that you can’t serve it to your baby causing burn. Worth it for the price of 2!
I bought all of these at Baby Company, SM City Baguio.
I advise you avail their MOM CARD for it gives you exclusive offers, discounts and earn points. Just talk to one of their sales lady to assist you and as far as I remember, it’s only for P150.00. Not bad especially when you register your baby and win Star Baby that has lots of prizes. Check out their website.
Another items we availed are these
COMBI 3 in 1 High Chair – can be Low bed/chair, rocking chair and high chair! We bought this for just P1500.00 because it’s 2nd hand at MomSavers143 in facebook.
We also bought this Bumbo(P950.00) for his potty training and sitting assistance.
Some parents decided to feed their babies for as early as 4 months which is not the standard time but this depends on the following criterias:
- controls his neck
- sit up with support
- has doubled his birth weight
- shows when he is full (turns his head or refuses to open his mouth)
- shows interest in food when you eat
- mimics you when you eat, such as opening his mouth when you open yours to take bite
- indicates his wants by reaching or leaning toward something
- seems hungry for more food
YOUR BABY’S FIRST YEAR, WEEK BY WEEK, 2nd EDITION By Glade B. Curtis, MD,MPH and Judith Schuler, MS
This is the book that I’m using as a reference. It’s an all in one must-knows of mothers especially for first timers like me (although I have my formal education as a nurse, it is good to invest on books and other references). Thanks to my supportive friend and college clinical groupmate who bought me this book for just 180.00 in Book sale, SM City Baguio; TRIXIA LUNA. :-*
GERBER RICE CEREAL, Single Grain (Supported sitter)
Going back to the checklist, my baby got the 7 signs so we started feeding him with the measurement of half tbsp rice cereal and 2 ml of his milk. What’s written in the instruction is 1 tbsp rice cereal to 4-5 ml of baby’s milk but we served just a half because we assumed he can’t finished the whole thing. The good thing about Gerber is that they have guides on what time you will introduced the food like the icon you can see on the upper right of product, the yellow one… it says Supported Sitter. When your baby can do that, you can start giving this food. Thanks to his Lola Mamay for providing his cereal ^_^
Lastly, after introducing the food to our Baby Veon, the #8 criteria is not manifested. In this case, we only feed him once a day and as we see the progress, we can wean him to make it twice to thrice a day.
HAPPY EATING TO YOUR LITTLE ONES!
If you’re a blogger, what would you feel if your site just disappeared like a popped bubble?Or just plainly all your efforts and sleepless nights of hardwork writing is gone? Stubbed to pain! And that’s what happened to my blog that is why I have to start all over again.
It’s a failure and I blame myself for it. I was enjoying the so-called “procastination” due to Christmas, New Year and Family Vacation. I really hate circumstances when my sweats are just wasted because I always give my best but looking back on those life events, I regretted…just a little.
Family Comes First
This became my optimistic qoute when my site was deleted. I failed to check my bills to keep my site running because I was too happy to seize the moments with my family but I told myself to learn from this mistake.
Every Little Thing Happens For A Great Reason
Yes, I firmly believe. Maybe, because I have to organize my site more and refresh my fully-booked mind. No matter how bad or good the situation is, every little thing of that happens for really good reason. It is only you who could figure that out.
Look Back From Where You Started
It is easy to just give up and left things to where it crashed, but I thought of that moment why I started blogging. I wanted to share my experiences and knowledge about motherhood and the things that makes me happy. The joy of sharing is such a fulfillment that I guess every blogger has and whoever, with a kind heart.
