BIO-OIL ~ Is it effective for stretch marks?

Are you one of the unfortunate mothers who got stretch marks in your bellies after pregnancy?  Or just merely got those lines wherever in your body? Well, you’re not alone. Today, I am going to share my experience using this one of the recommended brands for minimizing stretch marks ~ BIO OIL.

Many mothers do have their dark secrets and #1 is STRETCH MARKS! As for me, I don’t want to show the world what happened to my skin after giving birth. But… hey! I can say that I’m proud that because of these bad wrinkles, I’ve got a very cute baby! Isn’t that more encouraging to think of?

Pause. I know …I know… Women are women, skin and beauty conscious.  So I’m willing to reveal my journey with these stubborn lines.

PRICE: Php495.00

INSTRUCTION: Apply twice daily for a minimum of 3 months. During pregnancy, apply twice daily from start of the second trimester.

HIGHLIGHTED INGRIDIENTS: It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil™. This oil is secreted by ducks during preening which has a thin and non-greasy feature that improves the spreadability and absorption of vitamins(Vit A & Vit E) and plant extracts(Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary & Chamomile)  as other ingredients of Bio-Oil.

  • Helps improve the appearance of:
  1. Scars
  2. Stretch marks
  3. Uneven skin tone
  4. Aging skin
  5. Dehydrated skin

Bio-Oil’s ingredients has been assessed and deemed safe for use (including for use by pregnant women).

Bio-Oil is a member of Beauty Without Cruelty.

Also, it is a non-acnegenic and hypo-allergenic product, meaning it has a decreased tendency to cause allergies and acne, and it is safe for use on sensitive skin.

START: When I was 6 months pregnant.

END: My baby is now 6 months old.

DURATION: 9 months

See that? I just used the product occasionally but I already consumed 3 bottles in that 9 months duration! So, I can say that it somehow minimized my stretch marks. My husband also noticed the difference.

It’s just that you have to spend more money to continue using the product since it’s kinda expensive.

It smells good and it sticks to your fingers. Actually, the consistency is slightly greasy but not too irritating because it is easily absorbed in the skin. Also, you tend to apply more because you feel like you just applied a little due to its light and thin layer.

I suggest for better results:

Use it during the start of your 2nd trimester or even when you notice that you are starting to have stretch marks.

Be diligent and consistent in applying for 2 times a day.

Continue using if you see that your skin is improving.

Hope this one helped you on your “stretch marks journey”. Let me know your experience on the comment  box!
